    • Seymour Woman Found Frozen to Death in Bed Hold Coroner's Inquest

MRS. LOUIS MUELLER, 72, DISCOVERED BY, SON ESTATE VALUED AT $10,000

Frozen stiff, the body of Mrs. Louis Mueller, 72, was found in her home in the city of Seymour, yesterday afternoon; by her son Alfred, who was bringing her a load of wood. "I drove into the yard with the load of wood and started to unload, it and wondered why mother did not come out as she generally did", said Alfred Mueller. "I then made an investigation and found, her lying in bed frozen."

A coroner's inquest was conducted last night, but no marks of violence were found on her person. It is thought death was due to heart disease as she had been suffering for the past several years.

Mrs. Mueller was last seen by neighbors, Sunday evening; when found the body was partially uncovered and only that portion which was exposed was severely frozen as a result of being subjected to the cold There was plenty of wood on the premises, and in the house. It is thought she left an estate valued at about $10,000. For the past forty years Mrs. Mueller has been a resident of the town of Seymour. Four years ago she moved to the city and took up her residence in the house where she was found dead.

She had always been well and active and the news of her death came as a great shock to her host of friends. Six sons, five of whom reside in the township and one brother survive the deceased. The children are Ferdinand, Walter, Alfred, Louis and Richard. Seymour, and Edward, South Dakota. The brother surviving is Phillip Schwab.
