- Suicide in Hanover
The Hanover Post says The shocking news flew around town yesterday that Mr Benjamin Miller had committed suicide shortly before 7 o'clock and the sad news proved to be too true.
Deceased suffered with nerve trouble last fall which unhinged his mind but he appeared to recover and went to his work again in the Knechtel factory in January For the past month or so he had not been himself however sad his tragic passing was due to insanity. Deceased was very highly respected. He was an employee of the Knechtel Furniture Co for 22 years and is spoken of very highly by his employers Deceased was 46 years of age.

TRAGIC RESULT OCCURENCE INSANITY
Hanover, Ont., April 3, - Benjamin Miller, of Hanover, aged 46 years, committed suicide yesterday morning o'clock by slashing his throat with razor. Deceased had been for some time with nerve trouble, which unhinged his mind, and his tragic act was the result of insanity. He had employed in the Knechtel Furniture Company's works for 22 years, and had been foreman of a department for many years. He was highly respected in the community. He was an elder in St. Andrew's church. He leaves his wife and two daughters, aged 15 and 9. years, respectively. The funeral takes place to the Hanover cemetery Saturday afternoon. under the on of the Canadian Order of Foresters.
