  LANG, Roxy M. (nee Roche) At Sunnyside Home, Kitchener, on Wednesday, March 9, 2011 at 97 years of age. Beloved wife of the late Dr. Louis V. Lang. Loving mother of John (Irene), Paul (Shirley), Bill (Rosemary), Peter (Sarah) and David. She will be remembered by her grandchildren, Michael (Leslie), Cathy, Lisa (Chris), Wendy, Trina (Todd); Christine, Jamie, Michael (Cherie), Mark, Steven, Colleen, Jessica, Michael, and great-grandchildren Alexandra, Samantha, Nate, Kayla and Charlotte. Predeceased by her daughter Mary, and her daughter-in-law, Phyllis. She was the daughter of the late Martin and Cecile Roche and was one of nine children of whom she is survived by Bill (Rosemary) Roche, Louise Hunt and Theresa Roche. She was born in Cochrane and raised in Peterborough. She graduated from St. Mary's Hospital Nursing School in Kitchener in 1931. Roxy was a devoted and loving wife to Louis. She loved and nurtured her children in their many activities and showed a keen interest in all her family. She was a dedicated volunteer with many organizations over the many years. Lang family will receive a relatives and friends at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467 on Friday (today) from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. with parish prayers at 3:30 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Mary's RC Church (56 Duke St. Kitchener) on Saturday, March 12, 2011 at 10 a.m. Interment Woodland Cemetery, Kitchener. In flowers, donations to St. Mary's Hospital and Sunnyside Home will be appreciated. The family wishes to thank the staff at Sunnyside for the excellent care they provided Roxy in her final years. A special thank you to her friend Ella Oleksinski, who considered Roxy her Canadian Mother, and provided her with all the love and care a mother could wish for from a daughter.
