  John H. Gerth, 76, died Wednesday at Mount Clemens General hospital after a short illness. Born in Canada on Aug. 4, 1881, he was the son of the late Peter and Katherine Gerth. Mr. Gerth came to the United States with his parents when he was 10 years old. A member of Zion Evangelical and Reformed church in Mount Clemens, he celebrated his 51st wedding anniversary in March. Besides his wife, Ella, Mr. Gerth is survived by the following children: Mrs. Viola Ebert, John H. Jr., and Walter, all of Mount Clemens. Daily Monitor-Leader, Mount Clemens MI, July 3, 1958
