Notes |
- HOWALD, Harold Joseph "Howie" (1922 - 2012)
Passed away on Tuesday, March 20, 2012, in his 90th year. Predeceased by his beloved wife Mary (Padden) with whom he shared almost 60 years of marriage. Howie leaves behind children, Judith (Robin) Green and Jane (Bill) Lee, three grandsons, two brothers and two sisters. Howie was a member of the Highland Light Infantry and a veteran of World War Il. For over forty years his favourite place was the west deck of cottage in Honey Harbour and Howie was grateful to his northern friends and neighbours who helped make it possible for him to continue enjoy being there. The family would like to thank all those at CCAC, the 5th floor at St. Mary's Hospital, Terrace on the Square and Freeport who were helpful and kind in our father's last few months. According to Howie's wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation or funeral service. A private interment will take place at a future date at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Paris, Ontario. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener (519-749-8467)..
