- LAUTENSCHLAGER, Grace Margaret - It is with great sadness that the children of Grace Lautenschlager announce her passing on September 7, 2007, at the age of 87.
Loving mother Judy Bieman (Leonard Martin) of Linwood, Jack (Cathie) of Kitchener and Jeanne Amos (William) of Linwood. Fondly remembered by her grandchildren, Ron, Cathy, Mark, Todd, Dan, Shannon, Mike, Sherri, Jayme and also known as grandma to John, Chris, Andy and Elisa; great grandmother to Alisha, Chad, Olivia, Annie Patrick.
Predeceased by her husband, Albert "Curly"; son, Jim and grandson, Jeff.
Grace was born in 1920, the only child of the late Otto and Carrie Rahmel. She worked and lived in Waterloo until her retirement when she moved to Grand Bend where she enjoyed many happy healthy years. Last year she moved to Heritage House in St. Jacobs where the staff and residents enjoyed her spunk and humour. Mom loved and enjoyed flowers.
Visitation will take place at David MacLeod Funeral Home, 617 King St. N. Waterloo on Monday, September 10, 2007 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Prayers will be recited at 8:45 p.m. Monday evening. A funeral mass to celebrate Grace's life will take place at St. Clements RC Church, Lobsinger Line, St. Clements on Tuesday, September 11, 2007 at 11 a.m. with Fr. Robert Hetu officiating. Interment to follow at St. Clements RC Cemetery.
As expressions of sympathy donations to the Terry Fox Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
We would like to thank the staff of Heritage House and the Grand River Hospital for the wonderful care they gave to our beloved Mother.
