Notes |
- Lott, Marjorie May (née Brubacher)
Passed away at The Waterford Residence on Friday, March 24th, 2017 in her 91st year. Beloved wife of the late Dr. J. Stewart Lott (1995). Loving mother of Jane Lott (Don Harben), Sue Lott, Ann Seedhouse (Stu) and John Lott (Cathryn Jarvis). Grandmother of Caitlin, Evan, Jeff, Steve, Ellie, Jack and Will. Great-grandmother of Annabeth and James. Dear sister of Ross Brubacher (Jan). Predeceased by her sister Jean (Arends) as well as by her parents Alvin and Lauretta Brubacher (née Ruppel).
Marjorie was proud of her career as an OR nurse at Victoria General Hospital in London, Ontario, Class of 1948. She started her life together with Stewart in Manchester, UK, returning to London, Ontario to raise a family after he accepted a position at Victoria General Hospital as a Radiation Oncologist, eventually moving to Kingston in 1970 as the Head of the Kingston Regional Cancer Center. Together they raised four children, lived in three countries, loved to travel, entertain, and spend time at the cottage with children and grandchildren. She approached everything in her life with frankness, energy, common sense and humour. The family would like to extend their thanks to the kind and caring staff of the Waterford Retirement Residence in Kingston, where she lived for the last few years.
A private family memorial will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Robert J. Reid & Sons \endash The Chapel on the Corner. As expressions of sympathy, donations in memory of Marjorie and Stewart Lott made to Parkinson Canada would be appreciated by the family.
