Barry Toman's Car Hits Train

NEWTON - An 18 year-old Milverton garage employee Barry James Toman died yesterday when his car rammed into a standing train
The accident occurred at the Perth County road 6 crossing in this village 20 miles west of Kitchener
ROAD WAS WET
Police said the asphalt road was slippery from an earlier rain The car appeared to have skidded a considerable distance The train was in charge of Peter Mark engineer and William McKay conductor both of Stratford
Dr C E Conners of Listowel coroner and Dr P L Tve of Milverton were called to the accident scene The youth apparently died instantly in the crash
Born Aug 23 1942 he was a son of the late Mr and Mrs Ranald Toman He had been working at the Kipfer Brothers garage He was a member of St Peter's Lutheran Church Milverton

Surviving are his step-mother Mrs Vera Toman three brothers Earl of Sarnia Weston of Whitby and Robert of Galt two sisters Mrs Ross (Elaine) Kipfer of Milverton and Mrs Jack (Marlene) Hube of Frankfort Ont Two step brothers Charles and Michael Mohr both at home and a step-sister Yvonne Mohr of London Ont The body is at the home until tomorrow when removal will be made to St Peter's Lutheran Church for the funeral at 2 pm Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery Rev Luther Eberhardt will officiate The casket will remain closed.
