- TOMAN, Mrs. Vera - On Saturday, March 12, 1983, at Knollcrest Lodge, Milverton, Mrs. Vera Toman, aged 73.
She had owned and operated Toman Lunch in Milverton for 18 years; she was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Milverton, where she was also a member of the LCW and sang in the choir for many years; she had quilted with the ladies group and had served on the church council.
Wife of the late Ranald W. Toman, who predeceased her in 1960; beloved mother of five sons, Charles Mohr of Restoule, Ont., Michael Mohr of Milverton, Earl Toman of London, Ont., Weston Toman of Listowel and Robert Toman of Orillia and three daughters, Yvonne (Mrs. David Humphries) of London, Ont., Elaine (Mrs. Jim Bundscho) of Milverton and Marlene (Mrs. Jack Hube) of Ottawa. She is lovingly remembered by 16 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one brother, Rev. John Zimmerman of Mississauga and sisters, Rose (Mrs. Gordon Musselman) of Kitchener and Odell (Mrs. Cloyne Michel) of Gorrie.
She was predeceased by her parents, the late John Zimmerman and the former Louisa Murr; her first husband, Gordon F. Mohr in 1946: two sons, James Toman and Raymond Mohr; one granddaughter, Kelly Hube; one brother, Albert Zimmerman and five sisters, Mrs. Luella Kelterborn, Mrs. Georgina Gropp, Mrs. Minnie Graham, Mrs. Gertrude Kaufman and Myrn Zimmerman.
Resting at the Mark Jutzi Funeral Home, Milverton Chapel, 9 Pacific Ave., after 3 p.m. today and until noon Tuesday, March 15, when transfer will be made to St. Peter's Lutheran Church for service at 2:30 p.m., with Rev. J. Douglas Schweyer officiating. Interment in Greenwood cemetery, Milverton.
