    • Mrs. Margretha Elizabeth MacPherson, 200 North Grand avenue west, widow of the late Alexander B. MacPherson, died at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the home of a daughter, Mrs. W.J.F. Reith of Winnipeg, Can., with whom she was visiting. She was 71 years old.

      The remains will arrive in Springfield Saturday and funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at the family residence. Rev John T. Thomas, pastor of the First Presbyterian church, will officiate. Burial will be in Oak Ridge cemetery. The family requests that flowers be omitted.

      Mrs. MacPherson was born in Galt, Ont., June 9, 1857. She was married in Winnipeg on Sept. 28, 1883 to Alexander B. MacPherson, who preceded her in death Nov. 12, 1916. Mr. MacPherson was president for nearly thirty years of the MacPherson and Edward Dry Goods company.

      Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Reith and one son, Alexander B. MacPherson of this city; six grandchildren, one sister and three brothers. One son John Francs MacPherson, preceded her in death Nov. 1, 1921.
