    • LEON ROMANOFF

      Leon Romanoff, 58, of 83 Wilhelm Street, died at St. Mary's Hospital yesterday following several years of ill health. A native of Poland, he was moulder by trade and came to Canada in 1927. His marriage to Doris Babcock took place in Poland in 1910. His parents, Meketa Romanoff and Anne Shliusar, predeceased him. Mr. Romanoff attended the Ukrainian Greek Catholic C Church.

      Surviving are two sons, Pte. John, overseas, and Stephen, at home; two daughters, Mrs. Walter (Stella). Wicary, London, and Miss Madeline Romanoff, at home, and one grandchild. One sister lives in Poland.

      The public funeral will be held from the Lippert-Gruhn Funeral Home at 8:30 a.m. Saturday followed by service in the Ukrainian Catholic Church at 9 a.m. Interment will be in Mount Hope R.C. Cemetery. Rev. J. Filivich will officiate. The remains are resting at the Lippert-Gruhn Funeral Home until the funeral.
