    • Mrs. Doris Romanoff

      Mrs. Doris Romanoff, 60, of 495 Park St., died at Freeport Sanatorium Saturday following a lengthy illness. Born in the Ukraine, Jan. 20, 1891, a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Makryer Babak, she came to Canada 21 years ago. She attended the Church of the Transfiguration.

      Surviving her are one son, Stephen, and two daughters, Mrs. Harry (Magdelena) Dietrich, Kitchener and Mrs. Walter (Stella) Wicary, London, Ont. She was, predeceased by her husband in 1943 and one son Peter, aged 9 in 1933. A son John was killed on active service overseas in 1944.

      One sister Mrs. Annie Geduoruk, Ukraine, and three grandchildren also survive her.

      The funeral will be held Tuesday at 8:30 a.m. with prayers at the Ratz- Bechtel Funeral Home, followed by requiem mass at the Church of the Transfiguration at 8 a.m. Rev. M. Zayec will conduct the service.

      Interment will take place at Mount Hope Cemetery,

      The body is resting at the funeral home.
