  Mr. Martin Schweitzer of the 7th line of Mornington, who was seriously injured in a gravel pit, cave-in about four weeks ago, succumbed to his injuries on Wednesday, Sept. 1st, although everything that medical skill could devise and good nursing accomplish was exercised in the hope of saving his life. An opera-tion afforded temporary relief, but his internal organs were so badly bruised that nature was prevented from functioning. He is survived by his wife (nee Elizabeth Engel) and a family of two children, Ruby, aged about 17, and Conrad, about 13, who have the sympathy of the entire community in their severe affliction. Mr. Schweitzer was an industrious, hardworking and thrifty man and was held in very highest esteem by his neighbors. He was for a number of years elder in the Lutheran Church. He early demise is generally regretted by the community. Milverton Sun.
