    • Mrs. Elizabeth Miller is Honored

Mrs. Elizabeth Miller of Boyne City celebrated her 90th birthday Sunday with an open house held at her home. Born in Canada in 1859, she came to Caledonia, Mich., with her parents in 1866. In 1883 she became the bride of Carl Sterzik, who died in 1922. In 1930 she was married to Charles Miller of Boyne City who died in 1941. Mrs. Miller had three children, two of which are still living. Clarence Sterzik, deceased, Mrs. Mabel Willis of Bay township, and Wilfred Sterzik of Resort township, Emmet county. She has 14 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren. She always has been active, enjoys good health and reads and sews without glasses. For a number of years she has helped friends and neighbors with their harvests. She has been employed for the past three years as a laundress at the home of Mrs. Heson Dyer of Boyne City. Mrs. Miller always has been an active worker in the Church of the Nazarene and attends services each Sunday. (Photo by White of Boyne City)
