    • Edward Bannick

      OWENDALE - Edward Bannick, 87, Owendale, died Sunday in Huron Memorial Hospital, Bad Axe, after a brief illness.

      He was born April 30, 1890, in Waterloo, Ontario. He married Elsie V. Lee May 26, 1947, in Pontiac.

      Mr. Bannick was a carpenter, thresher and taxidermist. He was a member of Faith Gospel Tabernacle, Bad Axe.

      He is survived by his wife; two sons, Harold, Bad Axe, and James, Diamond Dale; two daughters, Mrs. Vincent (Evelyn) Maurer, Bad Axe, and Mrs. Elmer (Adeline) Rogers, Longview, Wash.; 21 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Harold, Bad Axe. Two sisters and three brothers died earlier.

      Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday in MacAlpine Funeral Home, Bad Axe. Rev. James R. Willett, pastor of Faith Gospel Tabernacle, Bad Axe, and Rev. Archie F. McWilliams, will officiate. Burial will be in Grandlawn Cemetery, Pigeon.

      Visiting hours are after 6:30 p.m. today in the funeral home.
