- ROBERT (BOB) HAMBLIN 1927 - 2010 Passed away at St. Mary's General Hospital, Kitchener on Thursday, March 18, 2010, at age 83. Beloved husband of Helen and the late June Mckie (1989); loved father of Joanne Hamblin of Toronto, Bill and Nancy Hamblin of Kitchener, and Judy Moser and her friend Sean Carney of Waterloo. Bob will also be missed by Helen's children, Janet Dietrich, Joan and Chris Turner, Lou and Linda Dietrich and Pete and Stef Dietrich; loving Poppie of Rob and Jess Hamblin, Matt Hamblin and friend Jess Newman, Ben, Jessica and Luke Moser, and Kristen, Tatum, Sammy, Catie and Joey Dietrich; dear brother of Helen Ledger and brother-in-law of Jack Ledger. Bob was a kind gentleman with a giving spirit and a generous heart. Bob followed in the footsteps of his grandfather, William Henry Hamblin and father Gordon Hamblin, as President and CEO of the family business Smiles'n Chuckles Limited...."I Love Turtles". He was a life long member of Trinity United Church, Kitchener and for many years was involved in the Sunday School program. He was active in the Senior Gyro Club and a member of the Westmount Golf and Country Club. Friends are invited to share their memories of Bob with his family during visitation at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home , 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held at Trinity United Church, 74 Frederick St., Kitchener on Wednesday, March 24th, 2010 at 11 a.m. with Rev. Jack Paleczny officiating. A reception will follow immediately, at the church. Interment in Parkview Cemetery.
