    • GIES, Wayne (Terry) - After a brief illness, on Wednesday, April 20, 1988, at St. Joseph's Hospital, Guelph, Terry Gies, of Westwood Road, Guelph, formerly of Waterloo, aged 39 years.

      He was a member of St. Louis RC Church, Waterloo.

      Special friend of Heather of Guelph; dear son of Edna Gies of Waterloo and the late Alex Gies; father of Michael of Waterloo and Tammy of Kitchener; brother of Shirley Hinsperger of Waterloo and Walter of Petersburg. Also survived by three nieces and six nephews: 13 great nieces and nephews. Predeceased by one brother, Bob.

      Mr. Gies' family will receive friends at the Edward R. Good Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo, 7-9 p.m. this evening (Thursday) and 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Friday. Prayers will be offered at the funeral home on Saturday (9:30 a.m.), followed by Mass of Christian Burial at St. Louis RC Church, Waterloo, at 10 a.m., Father C.A. Hauser officiating. Interment St. Agatha RC cemetery.

      Donations can be made to St. Joseph's Hospital Building Fund, Guelph. The rosary will be recited Friday evening, 7:30 p.m.
