Notes |
- Mrs. Caroline Bormann
(By Chronicle Correspondent)
ELMIRA. The death occurred suddenly at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Cyril Schutz, at St. Jacobs, on Sunday, of Mrs. Caroline. Bormann, nee Schleuter, a resident of Wellesley township. The deceased had gone to the home of her daughter for a short visit when she was suddenly stricken. The late Mrs. Bormann was in her 73rd year, and had been a resident of this district all her life, having resided in Elmira for several years but at the time of her death on the farm where she was born.
Her husband, the late Daniel Bormann, predeceased her four years ago and one son, Milton, died three and one-half years ago. Surviving are two sons, Clarence and Dan, of Waterloo, and two daughters, Nellie, Mrs. C. Hannaberg, Guelph, and Alice, Mrs. C. Schutz, St. Jacobs. One sister, Miss Frances Schleuter, on the homestead, and two brothers, Henry of Elmira, and Emanuel of Waterloo, also survive.
The funeral was held Wednesday with burial in Linwood Lutheran cemetery.
