    • DEATH CLAIMS ACME RESIDENT

      Mrs. Caroline Herr of Acme, a well known resident of the community for 40 years, passed away suddenly Thursday night at ten o'clock at her home. She was 77 years old.

      Mrs. Herr was.formerly Miss Caroline Wertz. She was born in Canada in 1856 and following her marriage to Louis Herr came to the Grand Traverse region to reside.

      Left to mourn her passing are four sons, Norman of Las Vegas, Nev., Oliver of Kitchener, Canada. Elda of Toronto and Lee of St. Clair, Mich., and three daughters, Mrs. Josephine Mimnaugh of Benton Harbor, Mrs. Catherine Blink of Rochester, Minn., and Mrs. David Newcombe of Acme, besides five. grandchildren and two sisters, Mrs. Edwin Birch of Holland and Mrs. Anna Mandelsloh of Kitchener, Ont. Her husband preceded her in death last September.

      The body was brought to the Hibbard funeral chapel, funeral arrangements to be announced later.
