      Death of John S Selp of Near St Agatha Occurred on Sunday

      One of the pioneers of Wilmot Township passed away on Sunday afternoon at 3 o'clock in the person of John S. Seip, a well known and respected farmer living one mile east of St. Agatha, Deceased had been confined to his bed for the past, several weeks, death being due to the infirmities of old age.

      He was born on the farm on which he resided, on April 18th, 1832, being 74 years, 5 months and 26 days of age.

      Six children survive, viz.: Peter and Edward, at home; William, Louisville, Kentucky; Mrs. Henry Doelle, Petersburg; Mrs. John Kraehling, St. Agatha, and Mrs. Fred Lackner, Hawkesville. His wife predeceased him about a year ago.

      The funeral will be held on Thursday, Oct. 18th, from his late residence, at two o'clock, to the Lutheran church and cemetery for service and interment.
