  Casimir Michael Nowak 1923-2014 - Passed away peacefully, surrounded by the love of his family on Tuesday, November 18, 2014 at K-W Health Centre of Grand River Hospital at the age of 85. Beloved husband of Mae (nee Kurt) Nowak for 64 years. Loving father of Cathy Gage (Colin), Paul (John), Karen Lang (Bill), Mike (Jeri-Lou) and Sue Nowak. Casimir is survived by 8 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren and 8 siblings. He was predeceased by 3 siblings. Casimir's family will receive relatives and friends on Friday, November 21, 2014 from 3-5 and 7-9 pm at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick St., Kitchener 519-749-8467. Parish prayers 4:45 pm on Friday afternoon. Prayers will be offered in the funeral home at 9:20 am on Saturday, November 22, 2014 followed by procession to St. Teresa R.C. Church, 44 Leonard St., Kitchener for Funeral Mass at 10 am. Fr. Tom Moisan officiating. Interment Parkview Cemetery followed by a reception at RM 207-208 - Rim Park, 2001 University Avenue East, Waterloo. As expressions of sympathy donations to Grand River Regional Cancer Centre or St. Teresa R.C. Church would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
