SCHAEFER, Barbara (Mrs. Gary)\emdashSuddenly, on Saturday, February 14, 2004, at Guelph General Hospital, Barbara (Brown) Schaefer, in her 54^th year, of Elmira.

Beloved wife and best friend of Gary Schaefer; dear mother of Charlene and Jim Radler of Waterloo and Todd and Kim Schaefer of Elmira. Also lovingly remembered by her three grandchildren, Jasmine and Austin Schaefer and Matthew Radler; loving daughter of Gertrude and Lloyd Schmidt of Port Elgin. Sister of Leslie and Nicole Brown of Port Elgin; daughter-in-law of Betty Schaefer of Elmira; sister-in-law of Richard and Doris Schaefer of Kitchener, Susan and Earl Gingrich and David and Jeanette Schaefer, all of Elmira. Sadly missed by her many nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by her father, Fraser Brown, her brother, Larry and father-in-law, Gerald Schaefer.

Barbara was an active member of the quilting community in addition to belonging to several quilt guilds and has been involved in Girl Guides of Canada, Sugar Kings Executive and Elmira Figure Skating Club.

The family will receive their friends and relatives at the Dreisinger Funeral Home, Elmira on Tuesday, Feb. 17 from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. At 9 a.m. on Wednesday, transfer will be made to Gale Presbyterian Church, Elmira for funeral service at 11 a.m., with Rev. Linda J. Bell officiating, followed by interment in Elmira Union Cemetery.
