John Jacobs 88, of Mornington Township, died today at his farm home, where he had lived for the past 59 years.
Born Jan. 22, 1872, in Michigan, he was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Noah Jacobs. He moved to Canada 80 years ago.
Besides farming, he also worked as a carpenter. He was a member of Kingwood Reformed Mennonite Church.
Surviving are his wife, the former Lydia Ann Schneider, whom he married in 1900; three sons, William of Milverton, John and Roy of Toronto; one daughter, Mrs. Herbert (Mabel) Scott of Mornington Township, and seven grandchildren.
The body will be at the McMane Funeral Home, Milverton, until Thursday when removal will be made to the church for the funeral at 2:30 p.m. Rev. Aaron Yost will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
