  Olinski, Joan Marie November 10, 1942 - January 29, 2018 It is with heavy hearts that the family of Joan announce her passing on Monday, January 29, 2018 at the age of 75. Beloved wife and best friend of Bruce for 56 years. Loving and amazing mom of Denise and the late Jim Nowak, Gary (Tammy) and Brad Olinski. Most cherished and loved Grammy of Dana and Sarah Nowak and Zach Olinski. Loved by her companion dog Riley. Family was always first and she loved them unconditionally. Dear sister of Pat Harbach, Herb (Betty) Wendling, Dick (Shirley) Wendling and sister-in-law to Sandy Wendling and Joanne Hagen. Joan was a special Aunt to her nieces who considered her to be their second "mom". She will be fondly remembered by her nephews, nieces, extended family and friends. Predeceased by her parents Jerome and Geraldine Wendling, her brother Doug Wendling and her sisters Diane Marks and Carole Marks, and in-laws. Joan's family will receive relatives and friends from 7- 9 p.m. on Thursday, February 1, 2018 and 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. on Friday, February 2, 2018 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467. A funeral service will take place on Sunday, February 4, 2018 at 2 p.m. Reception to follow. Private interment at Parkview Cemetery, Waterloo at a later date. Cremation has taken place. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Grand River Hospital Foundation Renal Clinic or Nutrition for Learning would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
