  Patrick J. McDermott, who was born in Downie Township, Perth County, 83 years ago died suddenly yesterday at his home, 108 Albert St., Waterloo. Mr. McDermott suffered a stroke last September but seemed to have made a full recovery until he was stricken again yesterday. He was a member of St. Louis R.C. Church and the Holy Name Society. He was predeceased by his wife, formerly Annie Lennon, and one daughter, Margaret. Surviving seven daughters, Mrs. T. J. (Mary) McGuire, Waterloo, Mrs. John (Kathleen) Devereaux, Detroit, Miss Anne, McDermott, Toronto, Mrs. Alfred (Florence) House, Preston, Mrs. L. V. (Louise) Lindsay, Stratford, Mrs. Frank (Angela) O'Connor, Hamilton, Miss Helen McDermott, at home; two sons, Harold and Frank, at home; two brothers, Thomas and Bernard, Stratford; one sister, Mrs. John Gatschene, Waterloo and eight, grandchildren. The body is at the Walsh Funeral Home and the cortege will proceed from there at 8:45 a.m. tomorrow to St.Louis Church for requiem high mass at 9 o'clock.
