    • HAID, Urban G. At St. Mary's Hospital, on Sunday, Dec. 28, 1975, after a brief illness, Urban George Haid of 250 Mary St. Waterloo, aged 77 years. Mr. Haid was born in Linwood, son of the late John Haid and the former Mary Starr. A member of St. Louis RC Church and a life member of the Father Funcken Council Knights of Columbus 1504, Kitchener. Mr. Haid founded the Model Dairy in 1929 continued its operation until 1949 when it was sold to Silverwoods Company Limited. Latterly Mr. Haid owned and operated the Paris Inn in Paris, Ont., for eight years. He retired in 1963. Husband of Edith Raines; father of Jean (Mrs. Donald E. Lippert) and Ruth (Mrs. Edward Cerant), both of Kitchener, Dolores (Mrs. Dom Tigani) of Stratford, and Karen (Mrs. Kenneth Kumornik) of Alliston, Ont., and Ralph of Guelph; brother of Vera (Mrs. Albert Miller) and Margurette (Mrs. Ted Young) both of Kitchener, Florence (Mrs. Vincent Huck), Marco Island, Fla.; 14 grandchildren also survive; predeceased by four brothers and three sisters. Friends may call at The Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home 621 King Street, West, Kitchener, where a scripture reading will be held under the auspices of Knights of Columbus, and the parish of St. Louis at 8: 30 p.m.on Tuesday. Prayers will be said at the Funeral Home on Wednesday at 9: 30 a.m., followed by a funeral mass at St. Louis RC Church at 10 a.m. Interment Mount Hope Cemetery, Kitchener.

      U.G. HAID dies: OWNED MODEL DAIRY.

      Urban George Haid of 250 Mary St., Waterloo, owner of the Model Dairy until 1949 when it was sold to Silverwood Dairies Ltd., died Sunday at St. Mary's Hospital after a brief iilness. He was 77. A native of Linwood, Mr. Haid founded the Model Dairy in 1929. After selling it to Silverwoods in 1949, he owned and operated the Paris Inn at Paris, Ont., for eight years. He retired in 1963. Mr Haid was a life member of Father Funcken Council Knights of Columbus 1504. Surviving besides his wife are four daughters, one son and three sisters.
