  Sauder, Benjamin, son of August and Elizabeth (Brubacher) Sauder, was born near Dorking, Ont., May 28, 1898; died of a heart attack at the home of his daughter, May 22, 1978; aged nearly 80 y. On Feb. 19, 1920, he was married to Rosanna Martin, who died on Sept. 26, 1960. On Oct. 21, 1961, he married Susanna Martin, who died in April 1971. Surviving are 5 sons (Wesley, Stanley, Harvey, Mahlon, and Maurice), 2 daughters (Miriam Wagler and Joanna Holtz), and one sister (Elizabeth Sauder). He was a member of Elmira Mennonite Church, where funeral services were held on May 25, in charge of Vernon Leis and Simon Martin; interment in St. Jacobs Mennonite Cemetery. Father of Wesley of St. Jacobs, Stanley of Kitchener, Harvey of Cambridge (H), Mrs. Alvin (Mariam) Wagler of Route 2, Atwood, Mrs. Delton (Joanna) Holst of Route 2, New Hamburg, Mahlon of Kincardine, Maurice of Route 2, Wellesley; grand children and six great-grandchildren, also survive. He married Rosanna Martin and she predeceased him in 1960. He married Susanna Martin and she predeceased him in 1971. Brother of Elizabeth Sauder of Elmira. He was the son of the late August Sauder and Elizabeth Brubacher. Friends may call at the Dreisinger Funeral Home, 62 Arthur St. S., Elmira, after 7 p.m. today, until Thursday at noon, when removal will be made to the Elmira Mennonite Church for funeral service at 2 p.m. Interment in the St. Jacobs Mennonite cemetery.
