    • HUNKING, Rev. Clarence E. - Peacefully, in his sleep. went to be with the Lord. on October 14, 1999, at St. Mary's Hospital.

      Mr. Hunking was born in Melancthon township, August 30, 1916. A graduate of Emmanuel Bible College and a lifelong member of The Evangelical Missionary Church, he served man several levels of church administration and as a Pastor and Evangelist. He was also a veteran of the Second World War, serving two years overseas.

      Beloved husband for 52 years of Dorothy (Phippen) Hunking and dear father to Ella mae Lehman and her husband John of Kitchener, Carl and his wife Deborah (Kinzie) of California and Lowell and his wife Margy (Reist) of Toronto; grandfather to seven grandchildren and one great-granddaughter. He is survived by three brothers and three sisters.

      Rev. and Mrs. Hunking pastored in three communities, Manitoulin Island, Gormley and Bethany Church in Kitchener and was a charter member of Country Hills Evangelical Missionary Church. Preaching was his gift and he used it well in churches and camp meetings across Canada and in several U.S. states.

      Mr. Hunking's family will receive friends at the Edward R. Good Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo, today (Saturday) from 2-4 p.m. only and Sunday, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held at Bethany Missionary Church, 160 Lancaster St. E., Kitchener, on Monday at 2 p.m., with Rev. Mark Bolender officiating. Interment in Blair Cemetery.

      If desired, as expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to Country Hills Evangelical Missionary Church or Emmanuel Bible College.
