- EX-ALDERMAN DIES
John Borsje, 65, of 81 Avondale Ave. South a former alderman, died suddenly last week after suffering a heart attack at his home.
He served as an alderman from 1951 to 1954 and again in 1956.
He came to Canada in 1924 and lived in Waterloo for 25 years. He was employed in maintenance for the Bank of Nova Scotia for the past six years. Prior to that he had been a salesman with the W.T. Rawleigh Company Ltd.
Surviving are his wife, the former Olive Greulich, one son, John at home; one daughter, Mrs. Gerald (Lorraine) Rothaerme of Bridgeport; one brother and one sister, both in Holland. There are two grandchildren. One brother and one sister predeceased him.
