  I Mrs. Ella Mary Eix of Aldersyde, Alberta, died at Aldersyde on Friday, November 12, following a short illness She was 71 years of age and was born at Floradale, Ontario. In 1898 she was married to James Henry Reist resided at Kitchener, Ontario, for. some years. Mr. Reist predeceased her in 1905, and upon her remarriage she went west in 1917. The family settled at Aldersyde where Mrs. Eix has since resided. She leaves to mourn her death, two sons and a daughter, Floyd Reist and Arthur Reist of Aldersyde, Mrs. Clifford (Naomi) Herbig of Olds. Also surviving are three granddaughters; a brother, Orton Weidenhammer of Calgary; three sisters, Mrs. Ida Sherwood of Vancouver; Mrs. Harry Burger and Mrs. Stauffer, both of Sacramento. During her years of residence in the Aldersyd district, Mrs. Eix was an active member of the United Church and of the United W.M.S. She was a great worker for the Red Cross. Funeral services were held on Monday, Nov. 15. The services were conducted by her pastor, Rev. J. V. Howie of Okotoks.
