  Thomas Edward (Ed) Burnett, 68, of Linwood died Saturday at his home after a lengthy illness. Born on the 9th Line of Wellesley December 27, 1884, he was the eldest son of the late Thomas Burnett and Margaret Reid. On February 28, 1922, in Linwood he married Ann W. Telly of Belfast, Ireland, who survives. Mr. Burnett was in the engineering department of the Massey-Harris Company, Toronto, for 34 years before retiring four years ago to Linwood due to ill health. Surviving, besides his wife, is one brother, Emerson of Linwood. One son died in infancy. A private funeral at his home Tuesday at 2 p.m. was followed by burial in Linwood United Cemetery.
