Gustave Leo Eisenmenger, 57, of 299 Maple Ave., died Tuesday at St. Mary's Hospital after brief illness. Born in Linwood Aug. 16, 1897, he was a son of the late Gustave Eisenmenger and Mary Brenner, He was maintenance man at the Dominion Rubber Company, Ltd., for eight years. He had farmed near Crosshill for a number of years.
Mr. Eisenmenger served in the First World War with the 118th Battalion. He attended St. Mary's RC Church.
Surviving are his wife, the former Minnie Lenhard, whom he married in Macton in 1920; one daughter, Mrs. (Marie) Tschirhart of New Dundee; four brothers, Edwin and Louis: Erbsville, Pius of Kitchener and Anthony of Linwood; one sister, Mrs. Henry Karley of Linwood and one grandchild. A son, Edward, was killed in the Second World War.
Prayers will be said at the Schreiter Sandrock Funeral Home Friday at 8:30 a.m., followed by requiem high mass at St. Mary's Church at 9 a.m. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery, The body is resting at the funeral home where the rosary will be recited Thursday at 8 p.m.
