  John F. Shoemaker, "was born May 24th, 1831. He is a builder and carpenter by trade but the last number of years he has followed farming and owns a beautiful farm adjoining the village of Breslau. He is married to Ann Sherington. Their family consists of eight children" Eby, Ezra E. (1895).
