  Abraham Shoemaker, "was born January 24th, 1834. He was a blacksmith by trade and was married to Nancy Kittel. About twenty years ago he moved to Alborough, Elgin County, Ontario, where he died July 5th, 1881. They had a family of twelve children... two whose names were not received" Eby, Ezra E. (1895).
