      Solomon Edward Wahl - came into legal possession of his farm in 1924. He was married on June 8, 1910 to Alma Schultz of Sebringville. He received a stationary engineer' s certificate Jan. 2, 1912. He spent some time working for the street railway running from Hamilton to Burlington, Oakville and Beamsville, and later for the East End Power House of Breithaupt Street Railway at Berlin. He was a popular thresher in the surrounding community for thirty six years

      Funeral service for Solomon Wahl, 81, of RR 2, Waterloo, who died Saturday at his home, were conducted Tuesday at 2 pm at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home with Rev. Ralph Huras, pastor of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Bridgeport, officiating.

      Burial was in Cressman Mennonite Cemetery, Breslau.

      Born March 1, 1884, on the farm where he died, Mr. Wahl spent his entire lifetime farming. He was a member of St. Paul's Church. He was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Henry Wahl.

      Surviving are his wife, the former Alma Schultz, whom he married June 8, 1910, in Sebringville; two sons, Edward (Ted) Wahl of Elmira, and Carl w. Wahl of RR 2, Waterloo, and six grandchildren. The last surviving member of his family, he was predeceased by one brother and four sisters.
