  Alex J. Koebel The death of Alex J. Koebel, 72, 180 Weber St. East, Kitchener occurred yesterday at St. Mary's Hospital following a brief illness. A native of Linwood, he was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Koebel. He was employed in Kitchener by Ed Witmer and Sons Ltd. Mr. Koebel was a member of St. Anne's RC Church. His wife, the former Helen Forwell, died in 1949. Surviving are three sons, Clarence, St. Marys; Elmer, Kitchener; Frank, Waterloo; three daughters, Mrs. Earl (Katherine) Rickert, Kitchener; and Mrs. Alvin (Genevieve) Craig, Kitchener; and Mrs. Paul (Mary) Mattuissi, Wellesley; and four brothers, Anthony, Linwood; Edward, Toronto; Leander, Linwood, Alban, Linwood. A daughter, Corita, also predeceased him. The body is resting at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home where prayers will be said Monday at 9:30 a.m. Requiem high mass will be solemnized in St. Anne's Church at 10 a.m. The rosary will be recited at the funeral home tomorrow at 8:15 p.m. Rev. H.B. Smith will officiate at the funeral and Interment will be in Woodland RC Cemetery Kitchener-Waterloo Record 18 Apr 1953
