    • JOHN A. BEGG S

      John A. Beggs, 78, died early Friday at the K-W Hospital following a short illness. Born near Linwood on February 28, 1874, he was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Alex Beggs. His first wife, Jennie Cathcart, predeceased him in 1927. In 1932 he married Mrs. Susan Steinfeldt who predeceased him in 1949. Mr. Beggs farmed near Linwood until 1937 when he took up residence in Linwood. He was a member of Linwood United Church. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Helen Voll, Linwood; one granddaughter, and one brother, David, Linwood. The funeral was held Monday with a private service at his residence at 2: 30 p.m. followed by public service at Linwood United Church. Interment was in the United Church Cemetery. Rev. Gordon Weir officiated. The body was at the Dreisinger Funeral Parlor, Elmira, until Saturday noon when removal was made to the residence.
