- SUDDEN DEATH OF MR. PHILIP KOENIG
The sad and sudden death of Mr. Philip Koenig took place at his home on Mary St., at an early hour this morning. The deceased had been a sufferer from rheumatism for some time, which developed into Bright's Disease. He was up and around yesterday but took desperately ill about 10 o'clock Tuesday night, and passed away at 2:30 a.m.
Mr. Koenig was 45 years old and had been a member of the Steckenreider and Koenig Contracting Co. for several years. His death will come as a shock to a wide circle of friends and associates.
He is survived by a sorrowing wife, five children, five brothers and one sister. The funeral will be held on Saturday afternoon, at 2 o'clock, and the remains will be interred in the Mt. Hope Cemetery.
