  Mrs. Louisa Surarus Last respectful tribute was paid to Mrs. Louisa Surarus on Tuesday afternoon, when funeral rites were held for her in Trinity United Church. Rev. F. J. Bain of Copper Cliff officiated, assisted by Rev. A. Mathews. Interment took place in Terrace Lawn Cemetery. Pall-bearers were: Walter Yarlasky, W. Weigan, R. Statelbauer, G. Statelbauer, A. Mellis and G. Weigan. Mrs. Surarus, who was in her 88th year, died in St. Mary's Hospital, Kitchener, where she had been a patient for the past six weeks. She was a well-known resident of North Bay, having lived in this city for about 40 years. Mrs. Surarus, with her husband, the late Menno B. Surarus, operated a grocery store on the corner of Cedar and Morin streets for 19 years. She sold the business following the death of Mr. Surarus in 1934. Born in Centreville, Ont., the former Louisa Stengel, she was married at Kitchener to Mr. Surarus, and they lived in that city before moving to North Bay. Mrs. Surarus is survived by one sister, Mrs. A. B. Surarus of Kitchener, two granddaughters, Mrs. John McColl and Mrs. Harry Preston of North Bay, and one grandson, Sgt. Maj.
