Erb, Christian, son of Peter and Mary (Ropp) Erb, was born March 30, 1899, died at the St. Mary's Hospital, Kitchener, Ont., Dec. 6, 1960; aged 61 y. 8 m. 6 d. On Dec. 2, 1920, he was married to Madelaine Gerber. Surviving are his wife, 12 children (Verna-Mrs. Lorne Leis, Milverton; Clara-Mrs. Earl Meyers, Markstay; Betty, at home; Wilma-Mrs. Floyd Good, Plattsville; Erma-Mrs. Milo Good, Bridgeport; Grace-Mrs. Willard Beuhler, Wannapatti; Eleanor-Mrs. Freeman Mast, Kansas City, Mo.; Doris, Kitchener, Ont.; Helen, at home: Earl, Milverton; Raymond, Elora; and Lloyd, at home), one sister (Emma-Mrs. Samuel Nafziger, Brunner), and 15 grandchildren. One son and one sister preceded him in death. He was a member of the Riverdale Church, where services were held Dec. 9, in charge of Menno Zehr and David Jantzi.

CHRISTIAN R. ERB

Christian R. Erb, 61, of Millbank, died at St. Mary's Hospital, Kitchener, on Tuesday morning, December 6^th. In failing health for some time he had been hospitalized for almost two weeks. A son of the late Peter Erb and Mary Ropp he was born at Kingswood on March 30^th, 1899, On December 2^nd , 1920, he married Madaline Gerber at West Branch, Michigan. Following their marriage he farmed at Millbank and also had a contracting business. He was a member of Riverdale Mennonite Church, a superintendent of the Sunday School for some time and a Sunday School teacher until his illness. Surviving besides his wife are three sons, Earl of Milverton; Rev. Raymond of Elora; and Lloyd, at home; nine daughters, Mrs. Lorne (Verna) Leis of Milverton; Mrs. Earl (Clara) Meyers of Markstay; Mrs. Floyd (Wilma) Good of Plattsville; Mrs. Milo (Erma) Good of Bridgeport; Mrs. Willard (Grace) Buehler of Wannapatti; Mrs. Freeman (Eleanor) Mast of Kansas City, Missouri; Miss Grace, Kitchener; Helen and Betty, at home; one sister, Mrs. Samuel (Emma) Nafziger of Brunner, and fifteen grandchildren. One son, Joseph, and one sister, Mrs. Enos (Elizabeth) Nafziger, predeceased him. The body is resting at the home in Millbank until Friday when removal will be made to Riverdale Mennonite Church for service at 2: 30 p.m. Rev. Menno Zehr and Rev. David Jantzi will officiate. Burial will be made in the adjoining cemetery.
