- Daniel Shoemaker, "was born June 15th, 1811. In 1829 he came to Canada with his parents. On March 22nd, 1836, he was married to Nancy Miller who was born March 11th, 1816, and died May 20th, 1846. They resided in different places of the county. A few years ago he went to Filion, Michigan, with one of his children where he died August 23rd, 1892. Their family consisted of five children."
