WELLESLEY - Mrs. Jacob Lichty, 53, North Easthope township, died Sunday night at the K-W Hospital. She was the former Mary Schmidt.
Born Feb. 17, 1901, in Kingwood she was a daughter of the late Christian Schmidt and former Mary Lichty.
She married Jacob. Lichty, Feb 15, 1919, in Wellesley and was a member of the Maple View Amish Mennonite Church.
Surviving are seven sons, Edward, Earl, Allen, all of Kitchener Norman of Wellesley, Jacob of Sarnia, Kenneth and Larry, a home; eight daughters. Mrs. Lloyd (Frieda) Gerber, Crosshill; Mrs Armand (Irene) Shantz of Wellesley, Mrs. Melvin (Edith) Nafziger, of Milverton, Mrs. Reginald (Marie) Goulding and Clara, both of Kitchener, and Helen, Wilma and Emmalene, all at home; one brother, George of Buffalo; three sisters, Mrs. Noah Wagler of Millbank, Mrs. George Albrecht of Kingwood and Mrs. Jacob Gascho of Linwood, and nine grandchildren.
The body is resting at her home where private service will be conducted Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. followed by public service at 10 a.m. at the Maple View Amish Mennonite Church. Bishop Samuel Schultz will officiate. Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery.
