  KINGWOOD. - Mrs. Catherine Jausi, who has been in falling health for some time, passed away at her home at Kingwood on Friday, Jan. 19th aged 75 years, 3 months and 11 days. The late Mrs. Jausi, who was formerly Catherine Albrecht, daughter of the late, Mr. and Mrs. George Albrecht, was born Oct. 8th, 1864, in Wilmot township. In the year 1888, on Jan. 24th, she was united in marriage to Mr. Jacob Jausi who predeceased her nearly two years ago. This union was blessed with five children, four of whom predeceased her. She leaves to mourn her departure, one son John on the homestead with whom she resided also two sisters, Mrs. Jacob Kipfer, of Tavistook and Mrs. Simon Kropf, of New Hamburg. The funeral was held on Sunday, the service at the house being conducted by Mr. Sam E. Leis, followed by a service at the Mapleview A. M. Church, third line Wellesley, conducted by Mr. Sam L. Schultz, Wellesley and Mr. Michael Zehr of Pidgeon, Mich., with interment in adjoining cemetery. Waterloo Chronicle 26 Jan 1940 pg 3
