WELLESLEY. Jan. 25 Mrs Mary Merlaw died Sunday at the home of her son, Wilhelm Merlaw. Wellesley township in her 77th year. Death was due to pneumonia of a few days duration. She was born in Germany and came to Canada in 1894. She attended St James' Lutheran church in North Easthope.
She is survived by one son. Wilhelm, four grandchildren and two brothers, Wilhelm and Hans Dedekind of Philadelphia. Her husband died 18 years ago and a daughter 16 years ago.
The funeral will be held on Wednesday afternoon at one o'clock from her late residence to St. James' Lutheran church, North Easthope for service and burial in the adjoining cemetery. Rev. John Hamester will be in charge of the services.
