  ROBERT SANDERS On Wednesday, October 5, on old and well known former resident of Wellesley in the person of Mr. Robt. Sanders passed away after nine months illness at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Henry Franklin, 3rd line Maryborough. He was born on December 9, 1854, at Lefroy, near Toronto, where he spent the early portion of his life and later at Markdale and while still a young man he came to Wellesley where he met and married Katharine Kink and took up residence in Wellesley village where he was for many years employed at the Reiner Wooller Mills. Upon the death of his wife in 1921 he lived and was employed at Waterloo. After his retirement he lived with different members of his family for short periods and finally three years ago went to the home of his daughter where he remained until his death. The funeral took place on Saturday, October 8, from the home of Mr. H. Franklin, 3rd line, Maryborough, to the family plot in the cemetery on the 3rd line, Wellesley. The pallbearers were his sons J. A. Sanders and R. S. Sanders, his sons-in-law H. Franklin, J. Duench, H. Underwood and ?. Hackett. Those surviving are one brother Thomas in the United States and one sister, Mrs. Maryann Lowes of St. Catherine's; two sons and five daughters, (Allice) Mrs. H. Franklin, Maryborough; (Pearl) Mrs. J. Thair, in Manitoba; (Maryann) Mrs. J. Duench, Milverton; J. A. Sanders, Waterloo; (Ethel) Mrs. H. Underwood, Bridgeport; (Florence) Mrs. C. Hackett, 9th line Wellesley; R. S. Sanders, Moorefield. The late Mr. Sanders is also survived by twenty-three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
