JONAS BERGEY
Mr. Jonas Bergey, a well known and highly respected citizen of German Mills, died at his home in his 60th year. Death came quite suddenly, he dropping dead shortly after partaking supper. Deceased was born in Pennsylvania and came to Waterloo county when 18 years old. He had lived in German Mills for the past sixteen years. He was a faithful member of Zion Evangelical Church. A sorrowing widow, Julia Miller, to whom he was married 32 years ago, survive, together with three sons, namely Willard of Washington, Ont., Charles of Chicago, III., and George at home. The funeral was held this afternoon (private) at the residence at two o'clock. to the Mennonite Church and cemetery at Strasburg for service and interment.
