- JOHANNES, Milton
Formerly of Blair, at the Marsdale Manor Nursing Home, Cambridge, on Thursday, January 26, 1978, Milton Johannes, beloved husband of the late Ethel Mills. Dear father of John of Cambridge, Paul of Harwood, Md., Jean (Mrs. Lawrence Smith) of Aurora, Joyce (Mrs. Clifford Maynard) and Marylin (Mrs. Richard Szukalski) of California; in his 88th year. Dear brother of James, Lorne and Louise (Mrs. Edward Dickson) of Cambridge. Predeceased by two brothers, Elmer and Edward. Survived also by 10 grandchildren. Mr. Johannes was born in Blair and lived all his life in the Cambridge area; a member of King Street Baptist Church, Preston; was superintendent of the Blair Union Sunday school for a number of years and was well known at the Galt Market, for selling plants, was employed with Canadian Office and School Furniture, Preston, for a number of years. Resting at the Barthel-Stager Funeral Home, 566 Queenston Rd., Cambridge (P) for funeral services, Saturday, at 2 p.m. Interment in Blair cemetery.
