  Herbert Charles Schwartz, "was born July 7th, 1884." Eby, Ezra E. (1895). A biographical history of Waterloo township and other townships of the county: being a history of the early settlers and their descendants, mostly all of Pennsylvania Dutch origin: as also much other unpublished historical information chiefly of a local character. Berlin [Kitchener, Ont.]: [s.n.]. ___________________ Herbert C. Schwartz GALT, Herbert C. Schwartz, 59 George St., Galt, died Saturday, at his residence. He was 85. Mr. Schwartz was born in Wilmot Township and had resided in Galt, for 65 years. He was a machinist with L. J. Sanders Machine Co. until retiring two years ago. He was a member of Central Presbyterian Church. He was a prominent bandsman and had paraded the last 70 years, with the Galt Kiltie Band and the H. L. I. Band. He was a veteran of the First World War, serving with the 111th battalion. He was predeceased by his wife, the former Maude Curliss in 1986. Surviving are several nieces and nephews. The body is at Little's Funeral Home, 39 Grand Ave. N., where funeral and committal service will be conducted, Tuesday, at 2 p.m. Interment will be in Mountview cemetery, Galt.
