  BARTHOLOMEW, David Surrounded by his dear friends, David passed away suddenly during a fishing excursion on Tuesday, October 19, 2010 at the age of 69. Beloved husband of 44 years to Shirley. Dear brother of Alex (Nila) of Calgary and Len (Nancy) of London; best friend of Lance Crawford (Bev) and brother-in-law to Norman (Jane) VanderBurgh. Special uncle to Chris (Kelly) Bartholomew, Jennifer (Shawn) Vording and Michael Bartholomew. Remembered by his great-nieces and nephew and many dear friends. He will be greatly missed by his canine friends Kelly, Molly and Patches. David retired after 30 years of service in the Graphic Design Department at the University of Waterloo. Since retirement, he spent most of his time pursuing his love of photography and fishing. He was called home too early while enjoying his favourite sport. David's family will receive relatives and friends at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick St., Kitchener, 519-749-8467 on Sunday, October 24th from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. The memorial service for David will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel on Monday, October 25, 2010 at 1 p.m. Cremation has taken place.
