  Death of Mr. Charles Miller Mr. Charles Miller, a highly esteemed resident of Hanover, passed away on Tuesday of this week at the advanced age of 82 years and 10 months. Deceased was born in July 6, 1837, in the province of Mecklenburg, Germany. At the age of 16 years he emigrated with his parents to Canada and located in Wilmot Tp., Waterloo County. In 1868 he was married to Miss Leah Schwart. This union was blessed wtih 14 children of whom two predeceased their father. In 1864 Mr. Miller moved from Wilmot Tp.. to Bentinek and located on a farm 3 1/2 vmiles from Hanover. Deceased was widely known as an honest and successful farmer. He also specialized in lime burning and manufacturing axe handles which were known for quality throughout the Province. He took great pleasure and satisfaction in making axe handles until a few weeks ago. In politics he was a pronounced Liberal, and always used his franchise until the last Federal election. The funeral services will be conducted at the home of deceased by the Rev. A. W. Sauer on Friday, May 9 at 2 o'clock,p.m. Newspaper unknown - May 6,1919
